    Teh's Kingdom

Post by Teh on Mon Dec 13, 2010 10:16 pm

In the future, I plan on making a Kingdom on an empty map, and have it as big as possible. Depending on the map size will depend on what I do with it. (Ex: Big map, big rooms. Small map, small rooms.)

Now the thing that makes this interesting is that I am going to construct the main castle out of Gravel, Sand, and Glass Only for the structure WITH physics on. This seems like quite the challenge, no?

If I can get enough people to help me on this(minimum of 3), each person will get their own section of the castle to make their own, and will get it zoned (for the obvious).

Next up, the rest of the Kingdom.
With whatever the rest of the map I can use, I wish to make a little town for others who came too late to construct the Kingdom. it will consist of gravel roads, houses, restaurants, etc. like the town is the sky on advbuilder, but will have a bit of a Medieval theme to it. The people who will be able to build in the town will be selected advanced and all trusted builders.
I ask of the town is to have at least a town hall, 1 restaurant, 4 houses, and 1 grocery store. They don't have to be very detailed, but I'd like each to be noticeable amongst the other buildings in the town.

If anyone has any questions, concerns, or ideas, feel free to contact me at TheW101P@yahoo.com, PM, or on Minecraft if I'm online at the time.

Thanks for reading, and have a great afternoon.

Teh, I'd be willing to do something. Just give me some dimensions to work in and what you would want me to make, and I'll have something in a few days Smile

I'm pretty good at building big things.. dimentions + basic shape and I can make the entire castle Very Happy (though, not out of gravel with physics on, that will take time xD) I'm willing to work, but if there's specific times that i need to be on, I can't help Sad

I aint asking for specific times, you can come and go as you want, but I'd like to see work on the kingdom by everyone at least twice.

    Minecraft Structure Planner

Post by StootiGee on Fri Dec 17, 2010 10:55 pm

Hey Teh, I think we should use this program to plan the town.
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=82736
    http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/dy227/minecraft_structure_planner_java_application/
Here we could pre-meditate our actions and how everything will be laid out. If you could think up of a design of the castle, then the roads leading out of them so we can think about how we are going to space our town.

    Info on Minecraft Structure Planner
Sometimes the installation goes a bit weird. You may when you open the .jar file get a BAT file coming up then disappearing. Make sure you have the latest version of Java and the 3D Java thing that LankyBrit included in the reddit site.

    Hope this helps

Yeah it would be a good idea to use that program so that you dont make it up as you go or forget plans that you thought of.
